Foothills Lions men’s rugby has a long standing presence in Okotoks and the surrounding areas.

In December 2009,  Foothills Lions' alumni re-launched our current senior men's program.

Foothills Lions RFC compete in the Calgary Rugby Union's senior men's league from May through September in addition to participating in several Rugby 7s tournaments and friendly matches during the year.

Whether you are an experienced player or looking to try the sport for the first time, new players are always welcome.

Foothills Lions RFC is committed to expanding their program to include competing in the Calgary Rugby Union's senior women's league which runs from May through August. 

We are currently looking to solidify a team again this season with interested players. FLRFC has current plans to participate in the Senior Women Division 1 (SW1) league next season as well as local Rugby 7s tournaments. We will also organize  and friendly matches with other interested clubs over the spring / summer.

Whether you are an experienced player or looking to try the sport for the first time, new players are always welcome.

FLRFC is currently planning for next season!

FLRFC senior programs will consist of the following teams:

• Senior Men (Div. 3), May - September; and
• Senior Women (Div. 1), May - August.

For adults, practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at Wiley (OJHS) Athletic Field. Games will be Friday nights with an occasional Saturday.

Other planned events:

• July: Stampede 7s, Calgary, AB (Senior and U16/U18 men and women).

Training for all will start in early April, weather permitting.
